HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY 

SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES

SCOPE: The scope of the health, safety and welfare administration runs covering the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of the employees in all occupations, making and maintaining working environment free from the risk and hazards and persuading to follow up the optimization of local and global legislative requirements.  OBJECTIVES:  Prevent and maintain of the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of the employees in all occupations and crate the environment free risk and hazards by assuring both local and global legislative requirements emphasizing as follows -   1) Maintain zero injuries & minimum illness among all the employees of the organization   2) Ensure Safety of the product in order to safe guard the customer 3) To promote & maintain environmental friendly working habits such as preventing pollution, and effective & efficient utilization of resources  4) Creating hazardous free/ metal free/ healthy working environment  5) Keep up the machine and equipment properly reducing damages in connection with inappropriate usage of them.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENTS

1) To provide and maintain machinery, equipment and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health; 2) To ensure safety and absence of risks to health 3) To provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of employees; 4) To maintain a place of work, including means of access and egress, in a condition that is safe and without risk to health; 5) To provide, monitor and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to health, and adequate as regards facilities for welfare; 6) Progressively to identify and assess all risks, and their elimination or control; 7) To establish, maintain and develop arrangements for effective consultation with staff on health and safety; 8) To comply with the statutory requirements as a minimum standard for health, safety and welfare of employees at work, 9) To ensure that effective arrangements exit to deal with any large scale emergency; 10) To ensure that the responsibilities of management are clearly assigned at all levels and that their roles are defined; 11) To recognize the link between efficiency and health and safety, and to minimize the costs, losses and disruption which arise from accidents, ill health and dangerous occurrences; 12) To ensure that employees are aware that they are required to work safety and co-operate with all in all matters which affect their health and safety at work. 13) We commitment to inform protection and protection  of employees health development enhancement of physical mental spiritual and social well-being of employees and support for the development and maintenance of their working capacity as well as professional and social development of work compliance with relevant international laws and regulations .

THE SAFETY RULES

1) All cutters should wear safety steel gloves while using the cutting machine.  2) Band Knife operators should wear safety steel gloves while using the cutting machines.  3) All cutters should wear Respiratory Masks while cutting.  4) Ensure that all safety guards are in good condition.  5) All needle guards should be in place.  6) All belts should be covered.  7) All work area should not be less than 100 foot candles.  8) To ensure work plan floor is in dry condition.  9) To remove dirt and refuse daily.  10) To use appropriate safety guards such as Eye goggles, respiratory Masks, Heat proof, Hand gloves, Boots etc; while engaged in working.  11) To ensure all machinery's are in good working condition.  12) To ensure good housekeeping.

HEALTH AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND TRAINING

Safety education aims to ensure that everyone is fully aware of all the hazards they meet at work and the potential consequences of hasty, ill-considered or thoughtless actions. Safety training aims to tell people what to do to avoid risk, to show them how to do it, and to get them to practice until it is done automatically in the correct way. Programs are likely to cover Health and Safety training and educations are as follows.  At the orientation, each and every employee will get basic awareness of the health and safety program of the organization. Basic health and safety guidelines are mentioned in the employee handbook for further awareness. Once in three month safety awareness program is conducted by safety committee to all level of employees. The aim of this is to educate all concerned about safety matters to persuade and encourage them to improve safety performance. Managerial, Executive and staff including all employees are participating to seminars conducted by the company. First -Aid teams and Fire Fighting teams are trained periodically by the Red - Cross and Firex Institute respectively Safety notices and practices such as dramas are displayed in relevant areas. Provide continues training for all employees by conducting fire drills. Properly maintained suggestion boxes are available,

PROTECTION OF HEAD  - Safety hard hats - Rubberized hats for protection against liquids (Chemical) - Ear protectors    PROTECTION OF FACE  - Face mask - Face shields - Welding helmets    PROTECTION OF EYES  - Goggles of case - hardened and clear glass for protection against impact - Eye cup goggles for protection against flying objects and dust - Eye cup goggles impervious to chemical for protection against acids/ alkali splashes    PROTECTION OF LUNGS  - Air line respirators - Cartridge respirators - Oxygen or air - breathing apparatus - Gas mask   PROTECTION OF OTHER BODY PARTS   E.g.: - HAND, LEG ETC.  - Protective asbestos clothing - Safety shoes - Foot guards  Safety body belt - Aprons

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE

In the cause of emergency, employees should follow the following to prevent or minimize the damages to the employees or property of the company.  ►Stop or be fee from your work  ►Do not be afraid  ►Do not keep unnecessary goods or bags with employees  ►Do not stay at toilets, Bathrooms etc.  ►Use nearest exit doors to exit immediately through evacuation path.  ►Help others, who need help  ►Do not try to enter again to the premises to take your personal things  ►Report immediately to the assembly point.
