METAL DETECTOR SYSTEM FOR FINISHED & UNFINISHED GOODS

UNFINISHED GOODS

1.    Alarm sounded, passed through second time but alarm did not sound, passed through third time, alarm did not sound.  Metal Detection Verification docket completed and returned with unfinished goods to sewing.

2.    Alarm sounded, passed through second time but alarm did not sound, passed through third time, alarm sounded.  Metal contaminant was found and taken with the other needle parts for replacement.  Goods were not damaged during retrieval so sent back to production for sewing.

3.    Alarm sounded, passed through second time but alarm did not sound, passed through third time, alarm sounded. Goods were damaged during retrieval so sent back to production for repair.

4.    Alarm sounded, passed through second time but alarm did not sound, passed through third time, alarm sounded.  Metal contaminant was found and taken with the other needle parts for replacement.  Goods were damaged during retrieval and not repairable, goods were issued a reference number, cut up and placed in destroy box.  Reference number was noted on the Metal Detection report and destroyed product for easy referral.

FINISHED GOODS (Including AQL’d product)

3.    Alarm sounded, passed through second time but alarm did not sound, passed through third time, alarm sounded.  Metal contaminant was found and mounted on to Metal Detection Report. Goods were damaged during retrieval so sent back to production for repair.

• Please note in the remarks section the location of the contamination.  (For example, it could be in the side seam, in the hanger, in the poly bag, in the swing ticket, in the toe area, in the hood…)

• Please note that it is of critical importance that anything sent back to be repaired, is metal detected again before being packed.
