SOP: Standard operation procedure of Pattern & CAD
SOP FOR PATTERN & CAD
v Each style should have one technical folder.
This has to be updated with every sample comments.
v For any new pattern developed along with
techpack and the sample should be referred. If there is no sample, the pattern
should be developed based on techpack.
v
For any
correction to pattern the previous sample should be referred along with the
comments.
v
For any
new style developed, the trial FIT sample should be made prior making the final
sample.
v For making & checking shrinkage must
follow the below procedure :
a.
The selvage of the fabric should be cut and all
the corners should be overclocked.
b.
The 50 x 50cm template should be used for
marking and the corner should be marked clearly by permanent markers.
c.
The warp way (length) should be clearly marked.
d.
The measurement should be taken at corner where
there is definite cross section marked by the template.
e.
The above should be followed for non-wash order
also to check ironing shrinkage

The
shrinkage should be in-cooperated as per standard procedures.

Refer Jones manual.
v
On
receipt of the tech pack or comments, the same has to be reviewed. In case of
any clarification or queries, the same has to be referred to merchant.
v
The
style history with pattern correction, shrinkage before wash & after wash
measurement should be referred for fixing shrinkage.
v For
each major correction in the pattern, the trial FIT should be made and filled
to mannequins.
All
pattern mark should be followed as below items.

a. Grain line/centerline/seam allowance should be
marked.
POM
(point of measurement) for hip, thigh and knee should be in pattern.
d.
Proper notches shade be given for placement.
e.
Every pattern should be enclosed with the
sewing/finishing/marking pattern.
f.
The pattern spec should be attached to the
pattern. This will be regarded as the before wash spec.
g.
The style NO. and date with the pattern makers
signature should be there prior issuing of pattern.
